Axolotl John had always been the class clown. He loved to make laugh, and it didn't take much to get a chuckle out of his classmates. He was always coming up with new jokes, and his teachers could always count on him for a lighthearted moment in class. John loved performing, and he decided that he wanted to pursue a career in comedy. He started doing open mics at local comedy clubs, but he was never really able to get a lot of laughs. He was too low-key and didn't have the kind of energy that the audiences were looking for.
